What is it that drives us in this world? For me, it is life itself.

When I went backpacking a few years ago, on a short break between jobs, I had the hope of finding answers on my journey. At that time, no inner voice spoke aloud to me to tell me what to do next. But if I really look, there is at least some kind of guidance that has always led me to the exact places I have been and let me meet the people I have met. But the most important realization was of a completely different nature - it's not about career and profession at all, it's about relationships, about life. Having people with whom you can share, who are there and for whom you can be there.

Back then, travelling for me still meant getting on a plane and flying as far away as possible - I see things a little differently today. Life is a fascinating journey. Since I met my husband in 2015, I feel like I have arrived.

I blog because I enjoy writing about my passions, about what interests me, what interests other people, and sharing it with the world.

Globetrotter, Austrian, coach, author, thinker, philosopher, husband, father, friend

I worked internationally for many years as a managing director and board member in various industries.

More than twenty years ago I started my own business as a trainer, coach, mediator and speaker. The focus of my thinking is always on people and the question of how we can deal with each other better and thus understand each other better. To do this, we first have to understand ourselves better. The goal is a happier and more beautiful life for everyone.

I retired from professional life some time ago and live as a private person with my wife in the north of Bavaria and in the world.

As an author, thinker and philosopher, I still see myself as a seeker and always questioning and learning on the way to an ever more beautiful life in an ever better world. Education and appropriate thinking are, in my view, the key to this.

Helping people live even happier lives is my mission. I firmly believe in it:

Happiness is not a destination but a way of life.

Thoughts

How we think about some things

Traveling does not necessarily mean flying to distant countries or driving hundreds of kilometers by car. Basically, the whole life is a fascinating journey.

What really matters to us

Attitude

Attitude as a result of self-reflection is the backbone of our personality, sustains us and determines our thoughts and actions. Our dialogical attitude emphasizes respect for the individuality of each person.

Honesty

Honesty is easy when we are independent, no longer care about the opinion of others and do not have to be afraid of honesty. This does not mean that we are allowed to shout our whims unfiltered and insensitively at other people's feet because we think we are superior.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is not escaping pain, but perceiving the absence of pain as happiness.

Altruism

Altruism must be well dosed. Overdone, it becomes pure egoism. Therefore, no altruistic flash flood, rather a calm steadily benevolent river.

Kindness

Kindness is the tacit benevolent indulgence of people who do not deserve it but are given a second chance.

Empathy

Realistic self-perception and the recognition of other people's emotional states form the basis of all interpersonal relationships.

Respect

Respect based on recognition is not something we can expect, but something we must earn by showing it to all people.

Equality

Equality presupposes the recognition and acknowledgement of values. VALUE-lessness entails VALUE-lessness, therefore we need VALUE-awareness and VALUE-preservation.

You cannot teach a person anything. You can only help him to discover it within himself.
