Welcome on our Website

A turbulent year lies behind us. 2020 was marked by change, upheaval and, above all, Corona. For us, a period of life has come to an end and we have set out for new shores. We have been living in Erlangen for about half a year now. We have left our working life behind us and got off the hamster wheel.

2020 has started for us still in the normal rhythm. Challenging topics at work, business trips, project work. Our longed-for vacation in March was approaching and everything was supposed to run "as usual".

Nothing is as constant as change

As early as January, however, the topic of Corona, which at that time was still supposedly not very threatening, became apparent. We were in the middle of preparations for a leading trade show and were following very closely what was happening in China. February was drawing to a close and the virus was becoming more and more threatening.

In the end, we flew to Thailand at the beginning of March, but the pandemic took its course. The days in beautiful Thailand were relaxing but overshadowed by worries about what would happen next. And so we broke off the vacation after only 10 days to return to Germany, to the perceived safety.

The world had changed. Germany, caught in the lockdown, was a safe haven for us, but everything was somehow different. This time was characterized by home office, isolation and banned waiting.  New topics gained the upper hand and it was all about case numbers, R-values and AHA rules. Strangely, when I look back today, this has also become part of everyday life.

A new stage in life

In the middle of the year we ended the normal working life, moved "home" and started a new phase of life. We enjoyed the summer outdoors as much as possible and explored various beer gardens and cellars in Franconia. A wonderful area in Germany.

It was a great summer despite Corona, which had allowed outdoor living well into the fall. The temperatures remained bearable this year until October. In the meantime, winter has arrived, even if only according to the calendar.

The last days of the year are running and we look with confidence into the future. The days are getting longer again, spring is within reach and there is now also a vaccine against Corona.

We are now enjoying the Christmas days and are excited about what is still to come

Merry Christmas
